About The Event

The whole day experience with a little bit of luxury!

This all inclusive, full day class will take you step by step from the from the most simple, basic buttercream blooms to show stopping, multi flower arrangements, all in just one class.

You’ll enjoy so much more than just a cake class with a delicious light lunch, traditional cream tea, glass of bubbles and all the vintage trimmingsi included,  plus your own show-stopping 12-piece buttercream flower cupcake bouquet to take home and share or freeze perfectly to enjoy later.

 

A warm welcome.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed in with tea, coffee & biscuits as we’ll begin with a relaxing introduction, getting to know a little about each other & our favourite cakes and bakes.

The bouquets

As we chat, you’ll learn how to prepare simple, effective bouquet holders to display your cupcakes in a range of shapes, sizes and a rainbow of colours.

Buttercream basics

We’ll discuss buttercream recipes & consistency and you’ll discover just how easy it is to guarantee you’ll get perfect results every time with my super simple recipes.

You’ll also learn how to freeze your cakes so your bouquet can be made up to 1 month in advance if you would like to enjoy them at a later date.

Colouring 

Time to enjoy experimenting with colour pallets now & you’ll see how keeping things simple can give you the most effective results with just a handful of the right colourants for the job.

Equipment

Ever wondered what all those different piping tips actually do?!

Well, now’s the time to explore which flowers you can achieve from which tips along with just a handful of other equipment you’ll need to make flowers like a pro.

Your first flowers.

So, now you’ll be all set to begin making your first flower designs directly onto your cakes; 

Blossom bunches

Hydrangeas

Swirl roses

You’ll make 3 of each designs from just one tip, keeping it simple to achieve amazing results quickly. 

Fabulous foliage

Then we'll look at the wonderful world of leaves and simple foliage and how it can breathe life into your flower projects (& hide a multitude of mishaps too ;-)

A light lunch

Time now to sit back and relax as we enjoy a light lunch of sandwiches and savouries together with a sweet treat too, of course.

Special dietary requirements are happily catered for. Please just notify via email when booking.

Raising the level

Feeling refreshed, it’s now time to master some slightly more detailed flower designs; pretty peonies and delightful dahlias to add texture & variety to your arrangement.

 

You’ll learn some super effective colouring techniques which will elevate your flowers with ease and really bring life to your creations.  

A special treat

After all that 'hard work' it’s time for something extra special.

So, raise your glasses as we indulge in a traditional afternoon tea with scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam, lashings of tea and coffee too, of course, and even a glass of bubbles to celebrate your newly discovered talents!  

Saving the best til last

Now it’s time bring all your new skills together and create beautiful 3 bloom lisianthus bunches. 

You’ll learn how to use flower nails and icing scissors to help you create intricate designs on both cupcakes and larger cakes for professional, show-stopping results, achievable by any beginner level baker with this step-by-step, small group class.

The great reveal!

Finally, it's time to assemble your beautiful buttercream bouquet, take lots of fabulous photos and feel generally pleased with yourself and your new found baking brilliance!

The perfect day to share together

All this, enjoyed in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, sitting together around a vintage set table,  a little music in the back ground and set in a quaint little craft village; The perfect treat for those wishing to enjoy a day to remember with friends and family or wanting to escape for a day & learn something new.
