Autumn Glory Bouquet

Autumn is, hands down, my favourite season of the year and offers a wealth of inspiration for us buttercream flower affectionardos.

The bouquet I've chosen to share with you here is an autumnal arrangement of ranunculus and dahlias in burnt oranges, yellow and burgundy shades. Perfect for the season of mellow fruitfulness!

These were actually made as a gift for the wonderful staff at Royal Berkshire Hospital who have been doing a fantastic job of caring for a very special lady; Ann Baker(Also know as my mum!)

Maybe it's the extra bit of love in here that makes me so fond of this one ;-)

Here I've used Swiss meringue buttercream, one of my absolute favourite choices for buttercream flowers. The crisp finish and the satin feel as you pipe has me 100% convinced that if angels ever pipe flowers, this is definitely the stuff they choose!

You'll find my 'go-to' recipe for Swiss meringue buttercream in 'Beginning Beautiful Buttercream Bouquets - An introduction to buttercream floristry.'

This is the handy little digital guide that accompanies The Sugarcraft Contessa piping sets and is packed full of everything a budding buttercream florist needs to get started. (All available right here in the SHOP section.

So, I hope you enjoy the tutorial and find a little inspiration to get creating something beautiful today.

With love, as always.
